Mask Campaigns aimed at preventing COVID-19 conducted in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Regions, States

Officials of Public Health Department hand over surgical masks to departmental personnel and volunteers to distribute them to local people free of charge as mask campaign in addition to raising health awareness in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State.

The Ministry of Health and Sports distributed 12,050,000 surgical masks to the Public Health Department in Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states in June to effectively prevent COVID-19 infection so as to cut the chains of disease impacts.
According to the instructions of the ministry, the Public Health Department of Nay Pyi Taw Council and respective regions and states raises the awareness of public health and stages the mask campaigns at the crowded places like markets, banks, junctions, bus stops and toll-gates by cooperating with the local authorities and those from relevant ministries, the Myanmar Red Cross Society, the Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association, Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation and volunteers.—MNA
