Media defames security forces by spreading false information

Malicious media outlets intentionally spread misinformation online, claiming that the security forces raided Shwebo and Yaytha villages in Gangaw Township of Magway Region, torched a monastery and houses and killed two villagers on 16 May.
The clash between the security combined team and terrorists occurred in Shwebo and Yaytha villages as the terrorists started attacking using homemade heavy weapons and guns.
Afterwards, terrorists retreated, and the security forces conducted security measures.
The misinformation about the torching of houses and the killing of two civilians is invalid, according to a security officer. — MNA/KTZH
