Men’s Open Mountain Bike Competition held

In commemorating the 77th Union Day, the Men’s Open Mountain Bike Competition was held at Kandawgyi Lake Road at 6 am yesterday.
The participants raced along the Kandawgyi Lake Road at 26 kilometres for six rounds. Next, officials presented K500,000 to the winner, K400,000 to the first-runner-up athlete, K300,000 to the second-runner-up athlete, K200,000 to the fourth-placed bicyclist and K100,000 to the fifth-placed bicyclist. In turn, all the finishers grabbed cash awards ranging between K10,000 and K50,000 according to their finishing time. More than 240 cyclists from townships in Yangon Region participated in the competition. — Bala Soe/KZL
