Mid-water resort to be implemented in Yangon

Arrangements are being made to implement a mid-water resort project in Yangon Region to attract local and foreign travellers.
The project is located in Bago River near the Union National Races Village in Thakayta Township and will be developed by the Best Myanmar National Tourism Public Company Ltd.
The project will cover River Cruise, food stalls, flower and crop plantations, recreational centres decorated with Myanmar arts, view points to enjoy sunset, water skiing, pool, artificial turf and horse-riding area including a hotel.
“The resort will be in the water and now we conduct study on river and water resource usage. The tourism entrepreneurs seek approvals of ministry concerned to launch the resort. We will make a feasibility study first and develop the project as soon as we receive the permit. We will carry out in line with the criteria of the ministries concerned. When it completes, the local and foreign visitors will pay a visit there and the local tourism will be developed,” said U Naung Naung Han, Chairman of the Best Myanmar National Tourism Public Company Ltd. The people can enjoy the beauty of sunset on River Cruise including the night beauty of Yangon with decorative lights installed in Yangon area along the river.
