Misinformation: 2 children killed, 4 injured due to military firing in Thabyayni Village

The Than Lwin Times media outlet reported false news that KNLA and PDF terrorists attacked an army convoy with mines near Ahlu Village and Daukyat Village, Bilin Township, Mon State, on 24 December.
The media is also spreading false information on social networks saying that two children were dead and four local people were hurt when Tatmadaw raided Thabyayni village with heavy and small arms.
According to investigations and statements of a security official in the area, there was no mine attack on the Tatmadaw convoy on 24 December, and there were no military deployments and security operations in Thabyayni village and the nearby regions.
These media outlets are taking advantage of the current situation and spreading false reports and claims at the right time to disrupt the stability of the country, create fear among the local people and misunderstand Tatmadaw. — MNA/KZL
