Misinformation: Two civilians wounded, one arrested when security forces opened fire in Madaya

Malicious news media named DVB is spreading false information that the security forces from Madaya, Mandalay Region, ambushed Tawpu Village Monastery on 2 January and opened fire with heavy and small arms, injuring two people and arresting one person and taking valuables from village homes.
Regarding the news, security officials said that no security forces visited the village on 2 January, and there was no shooting at the residents with large or small arms. Malicious news media is writing and spreading fake news to make people to be afraid of the security forces. — MNA/KZL
