Misinformation: Two villagers hurt when security forces open fire with heavy weapons on Taungpu Village

G2

Malicious news media are spreading fake news that security forces entered Taungpu Village and opened fire with heavy weapons, injuring two local villagers and forced residents to pay money on 10 January.
Regarding the news, according to ground information sources and a relevant local security official, security forces did not go to Taungpu village on 10 January. There was no heavy fire, and on the same day, local houses in Letme village, Myeik, were burnt down by PDF terrorists.
To cover up the terrorist activities of PDF terrorists, false information is spread on social networks on purpose. — MNA/KZL
