Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung received Nippon Foundation President Mr Sasakawa yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
They frankly and cordially discussed issues related to the development of border areas and the development of human resources, the success of the multi-regional development projects in Mon and Kayin states, and the Education for Peace and Development Project in Kayah and Shan states, which were jointly conducted between the Ministry of Border Affairs and the Nippon Foundation, signing a new MoU to boost cooperation in these projects, peace, the leadership training for the development of border regions and ethnic peoples and vocational training projects, the completion of the school construction project in Rakhine State, and future cooperation. — MNA/TS
