MoC Deputy Minister inspects construction of roads, bridges, urban housings

Deputy Minister for Construction U Min Htein inspected the Phayagyi-Kyaikto-Thaton- Mawlamyine Road section carried out by Shwe Than Lwin Highway Co Ltd by the (BOT) system on the morning of 19 March.
He pointed out installing safety signs for travellers for ensuring safety, maintaining roads and bridges to be strong by regularly inspecting, extending roads and bridges, upgrading roads and building mile-stones. Then he instructed officials to follow the work process in line with the B.O.T rules and regulations.
Next, the deputy minister and party arrived at the Mon State High Court Project Hall and instructed officials to pay special attention as per set standards in line with the Court’s features and to install energy-saving technologies in the electrical sector. Then, he viewed around the construction site.
The Mon State High Court is the 240×240 feet, RCC 3-storey annexe building and the project is undertaken by the special construction task force 13 of the Ministry of Construction.
Afterwards, the deputy minister and party inspected the completion of the four-storey quadruplex civil service housing in Mawlamyine, Mon State. He also met departmental personnel at the Mon State Highways Department on 20 March and gave necessary instructions.
Next, the deputy minister inspected the Eindu-Kawkareik Road. At the construction site of the Gyine-Kawkareik Bridge, the deputy minister stressed that the bridge is located on the East-West Economic Corridor and is very important for border trade. He urged officials to maintain ongoing construction works with momentum and ensure the safety of the workplace. — MNA
