MoD Union minister joins ADMM Retreat and related meetings hosted by Brunei Darussalam

Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo joined the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Retreat (ADMM Retreat), ASEAN-ROK Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting and ASEAN-Australia Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting via videoconferencing together with Director-General U Zaw Naing Win of the Department of International Affairs and other officials yesterday. The ADMM Retreat was hosted by Brunei Darussalam.
During the meeting, the ASEAN Defence Ministers exchanged views on “regional security challenges emerging during the COVID-19 outbreak and future cooperation priorities of ADMM”.
Moreover, during the ASEAN-ROK Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting and ASEAN-Australia Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting, the leaders openly discussed the bilateral cooperation between the ASEAN countries and these two countries for defence and security affairs and other future activities.
Then, Maj-Gen (retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji MD Yussof, Minister of Defence II of Brunei Darussalam handed over the 2022 Chairmanship to General Tea Banh, Minister of Defence of Cambodia. — MNA
