MoE opens financial management refresher course for DTVET

The Ministry of Education yesterday opened the Financial Management Refresher Course for the Technical, Vocational Education and Training (DTVET) Department in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the opening ceremony, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe said Financial Management Refresher Course is opened in 4 categories in respective departments in the Ministry, aiming to the systematic and practical use of finance as per the guidelines to the development of colleges and universities. He added the need to use the fund given to the colleges and universities in the set time with the consultation of the principals and report the performance to the relevant department, and to be free from party politics.
Deputy Minister U Zaw Win explained the importance of the finance sector in completing the individual goal and big projects.
The course is conducted in three subjects: Planning and Budgeting, Financial Management and Financial Rules and Regulations on 13 and 14 May.
The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Ministers, the Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, Deputy Directors-General, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, officials from the Department of Technical, Vocational Education and Training, trainees from the government colleges, institutes and the government Technological High Schools, and relevant officials.—MNA
