MoE Union minister meets YU, YUE rectors, pro-rectors, head professors

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe met the rector, pro-rector and head professors of the University of Yangon yesterday.
First, the Union minister pledged to provide budgets for the library for 21 subject departments of the university, including cupboard and bookshelf and said to submit budgets via the officials if it needs to spend more than the fixed budget amount.
Similarly, the needed requirements will be fulfilled at the Universities’ Central Library and Yangon University Library. Currently, the government is arranging to reopen the universities in January. The matriculation examination will be held from 30 March to 9 April. Therefore, arrangements are also being made to check the answer papers in time. The universities are also allowed to sign MoU with foreign universities to cooperate in education and research. The University of Yangon and the University of Mandalay should be implemented as role models and the teachers should work together in unity with full of respect and teach the students with goodwill.
Then, the head professors reported on the respective subjects and the Union minister instructed the necessary things.
Afterwards, the Union minister went to the Practising High School, Yangon University of Education and inspected the school compound, and met teachers.
The Union minister also visited the Yangon University of Education and discussed with the rector, pro-rector and head professors regarding the construction of new school building, maintenance, painting processes and other matters related to sports and appointment of subject teachers. — MNA
