MoH to appoint more healthcare staff says Union Minister

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win told officials during his trip to Magway Region that new healthcare workers will be appointed.
First, the Union minister accompanied by officials visited Pyay General Hospital and looked round the construction site of the five-storey building and laboratory and x-ray departments. Afterwards, the Union minister met health workers working at the hospital, ordered the issues of providing quality medical care, and coordinated to meet the needs.
They also checked the provision of free healthcare to retired civil servants and gave encouraging words.
Next, the Union minister and party visited Aunglan Hospital and met doctors, nurses and healthcare staff. The Union minister highlighted that the Ministry of Health will soon appoint more doctors and nurses. The Union minister urged officials to coordinate with the Department of Health to meet the needs of doctors in township general hospitals and district hospitals, which are regional focal points.
In the afternoon, they arrived at the Taungdwingyi Hospital and observed the dental treatment department, operation room and medicine storage room and provided nutritional supplements to patients receiving treatment at the hospital and gave encouragement.
They also met the staff of the Public Health and Medical Services Department in Taungdwingyi Township and gave instructions to increase the speed of public health and treatment activities in the rural areas and fulfilled the needs. — MNA/KZL
