MoHA Union Minister departs for 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Narcotics in Laos

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, who is also a member of the State Administration Council (SAC), left Yangon yesterday. The delegation will participate in the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Narcotics, scheduled to convene on 10 August in Vientiane, Laos.
The 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Narcotics will foster a platform for constructive discussions and strategies aimed at tackling the pressing challenges posed by narcotics. Myanmar’s active involvement, led by Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, reinforces the country’s resolve to collaborate and contribute meaningfully to regional efforts in dealing with this issue. — MNA/TS
