MoHA Union Minister inspects Loikaw Prison, meets township Police Force, family members

State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut inspected Loikaw Prison and met the Myanmar Police Force and their family members in Loikaw Township of Kayah State yesterday.
During his visit to Loikaw prison, the Union minister stressed the need to serve systematic duties by Prison Department for being an armed organization, to carry out the work procedures to be conducted without breaking the security affairs, regulations and in teamwork, proper food system for prisoners and to provide health care services in line with the COVID-19 health rules.
He then met families of the Prison Department and provided cash assistance.
The Union minister also made a remark at the meeting with the Myanmar Police Force and their family members at the township police office. In his speech, he said the police need to follow the orders, directives and regulations as it is an armed organization and they are more responsible for the security sector than other departments. The staff should serve duties with national spirit and live with security awareness. Relevant officials should monitor continuously not to break the security and make resistance for the office/station/outposts not to encounter attacks.
The basic military courses are being conducted for family members, female police for self-defence and they should practise successively. All should follow the COVID-19 health rules of the Ministry of Health.
He finally stressed the effective measures and provided cash assistance. — MNA
