MoI hosts meeting on youth development, outstanding student gathering

The gathering of excellent students and youth development meeting took place at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan and other relevant Union ministers attended the meeting.
U Maung Maung Ohn announced that the Head of State would meet outstanding individuals from across the nation at the International Convention Centre 2 in Nay Pyi Taw on 26 April. This event will feature a variety of exhibitions and entertainment programmes.
Highlighting his ministry’s commitment to youth development under the guidance of the Central Committee for Youth Affairs, he urged other ministers to present topics that would capture the interest of the youth.
Subsequently, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe pledged to organize knowledge-sharing exhibitions, providing visitors with insights into the country’s notable landmarks all in one place.
Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan also mentioned that his ministry would showcase the biographies of the country’s renowned athletes, offering the youth the chance to admire them as role models.
Various other Union ministers contributed ideas for the event’s exhibitions. Anticipated displays include historical photographs, efforts towards peace building, the unity of ethnic nationalities, stories of former outstanding students now serving as civil servants, interactive talk forums, Myanmar’s rich traditions, and initiatives for environmental conservation. — MNA/NT
