MoI UM departs for 2023 WIC Wuzhen Summit in China

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn left Yangon for Wuzhen yesterday morning to attend the 2023 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit, to be held from 8 to 10 November in Wuzhen, Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China. Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Mr Zheng Zhihong and ministrial officials saw him off at Yangon International Airport.
This year’s World Internet Conference (WIC) will revolve around the theme “Creating an Inclusive and Resilient Digital World Beneficial to All: Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”. The event will cover various topics, including digital transformation, green development, artificial intelligence, computing capacity, network, cybersecurity, data governance, youth and the digital future, digital literacy skill development, and new e-commerce formats. Additionally, 20 sub-forums will be organized with topics related to the digital economy. — MNA/KZW
