Union Information Minister views the reconstruction of MITV News Studio at MRTV in Yangon yesterday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the reconstruction of MITV News Studio, construction and strength of channel towers at MRTV in Yangon yesterday.
First, the Union minister observed the temporary Studio at Studio-2 during the reconstruction process of MITV News Studio, the news reading session, the construction site of the temporary recording studio at MITV News Studio and the processes of the newsroom, and cordially met the staff.
The temporary News Studio is established at Studio-2 to facilitate the information processes as it will take about one month for the new design of MITV News Studio, which has been used since 2013.
Then, the Union minister and party went to the nine-metre earth station and inspected the TV channel distribution processes via the satellite and fibre optic cables.
The nine-metre earth station was constructed in 1997 and it transmits the programmes of MRTV (Yangon) and content providers such as Channel K, YTV, Fortune TV and private FMs to MRTV in Tatkon, Nay Pyi Taw via fibre optic cables and satellite.
On arrival at the 200-metre tower, they inspected the strength of the tower, analogue and DVB-T2 transmitter, FM transmitter, MRTV DAB+ and radio transmitters.
The 200-metre tower was jointly established by MRTV and Shwe Than Lwin Company in 2012 and became operational in 2015. It broadcasts MRTV Analogue, DVB-T2 channels, MRTV FM, MRTV DAB+, channels of Shwe Than Lwin Co Ltd and Forever Group Co Ltd and private FMs. — MNA
