MoI Union Minister meets staff of affiliated departments

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met the staff of affiliated departments under the ministry in Mandalay yesterday.
During the meeting with the staff of the region, district and township IPRD office, Sarpay Beikman (Mandalay) of Printing and Publishing Department, Sub-Printing House (Mandalay) of News and Periodical Enterprise and MRTV retransmission station (Mandalay), the Union minister said it needs to emphasize all sectors as the ministry is running the media, on the other way, it is not operating the normal procedures but there would be changes according to the time and circumstance of a situation. Therefore, it should not think just like a normal process. The impact of media is tremendous and so it should improve the skills and carry out with a strong spirit and stance.
The Union minister, then, added that it needs to report the activities of government regarding the political, economic and social affairs to the public and fight the misinformation, disinformation and false news in various ways.
In doing so, the staff need to upgrade their skills and share their attributes with their colleagues.
The staff should keep seeking the opinion and serving public relations to gain positive attitudes of the public.
Then, the Union minister gave gifts to the staff.
He finally inspected the printing factory of Sub-Printing House (Mandalay), CTP (Computer to Plate) and the Advertising Department, and greeted the employees cordially.—MNA
