MoIP Union Minister receives Chinese Ambassador

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing received Chinese Ambassador Mr Chen Hai and party at the Ministry of Immigration and Population in Nay Pyi Taw at 2 pm yesterday.
At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the cooperation in economic development between the two countries, the arranging and handling of matters related to the visa and residence permit of Chinese nationals entering Myanmar for various reasons in accordance with the rules and regulations, China’s provision of COVID-19 vaccines and medical goods.
In addition, they cordially discussed matters in connexion with China’s assistance in repatriating the people who left for Bangladesh, helping the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce and people of Chinese origin under the law and cooperation in immigration activities, including border areas.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister U Htay Hlaing and officials. — MNA
