MoPFI to provide short-term loans to small groceries

The Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry will provide short-term loans to small groceries which suffered economic impacts from COVID-19.

Under the loan scheme, the small household commodity shops in the townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council and other regions and states can apply for a one-year loan with 2 per cent annual interest rate up to K5 million through microfinance organizations.

The list of townships and the names of microfinance organizations can be viewed on the website of the Financial Regulatory Department www.frd.gov.mm and its Facebook Page Financial Regulatory Department.—MNA
