MoSWRR Union Minister meets UNICEF representative to Myanmar

Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine holds talks with the UNICEF regional representative in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine met the delegation led by Mr Marcoluigi Corsi, regional representative to Myanmar from United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
Both sides frankly and cordially discussed and exchanged views on current work processes, entry visas for foreign employees of non-governmental international organizations and United Nations agencies, the extension of residence permits and catering for domestic travel, the issue of humanitarian work and promotion of cooperation between the ministry and UNICEF.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister U Soe Kyi, the permanent secretary, directors-general and officials from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and UNICEF. — MNA/TS
