MRTV to broadcast gala ceremonies on Buddha Day, Kason Full Moon Day live

The Buddha Day on the Full Moon of Kason will be celebrated on a grand scale at Uppatasanti Pagoda and Maravijaya Buddha Park in accord with religious traditions in Nay Pyi Taw on 22 May.
A ceremony to convey torches, which is one of the programmes of Buddha Day on the Full Moon of Kason, will take place along the circular road of Uppatasanti Pagoda from Tabaung Ground, starting from 3:30 pm on that day, then along the route from Uppatasanti Pagoda to Maravijaya Buddha Park and the path from the archway of the park to the Bo tree. Moreover, a ceremony to pour water on Bo trees in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park and Uppatasanti Pagoda will be held, respectively. These ceremonies will be broadcast live by MRTV-HD Channel, MRTV Parliament Channel, MWD-HD, MWD-Variety, MWD Education, Knowledge & Sports Channel and Channel LIGHT Channel.
Moreover, the Dhamma preaching ceremony in which Sitagu Sayadaw will preach Dhamma will be held at Agga Dipati Sasana Beikman in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park starting at 8 pm. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the MRTV Parliament Channel, MWD Education, Knowledge & Sports Channel, and Channel LIGHT Channel.
MRTV-HD Channel, MWD-HD and MWD-Variety Channel will broadcast the ceremony live after the news broadcasting programme at 8 pm. — MNA/TTA
