Myanmar attends 24th ASEAN DGICM through videoconferencing to discuss initial steps of Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC)

The 24th meeting of the ASEAN Directors-General of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (DGICM) and related meetings were held through videoconferencing yesterday morning in Manila, the Philippines.
Director-General of the Immigration Department U Aung Kyaw Soe, who was the Chairman of the 23rd DGICM in 2019, handed over the DGICM Chairman-in-Office statue to Mr Jaime H Morente, the Chairman-to-be of the 24th DGICM from the Philippines by videoconferencing.
Afterwards, the 24th DGICM Chairman addressed the meeting and representatives and senior officials from the ASEAN countries discussed the activities related to immigration and the initial steps of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) by the country and coordinated to hold the 25th DGICM to be hosted by Singapore.
The 24th DGICM and its related meetings: the 4th ASEAN Heads of Major Immigration Checkpoints Forum (AMICF) and the 16th ASEAN Immigration Intelligence Forum (AIIF), and the 16th DGICM and Australia Meeting were also held on 25 August. — MNA
