Myanmar, China hold virtual meeting on cooperation to combat transnational crimes, online scams

The Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae held a virtual meeting with the Chinese delegation led by Member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and Minister for Public Security Mr Wang Xiaohong yesterday at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw. The two sides exchanged views on implementation works based on the outcomes of the 7th Myanmar-China ministerial meeting on law enforcement and security cooperation, bilateral relations in combatting transnational crimes and online scams, Myanmar-China cooperation in the tranquillity of border areas, and bilateral ties.
The meeting was also attended by deputy ministers of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Immigration and Population, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, and other relevant officials. — MNA/KTZH
