Myanmar, China to promote friendly ties between two armed forces, countries

General Maung Maung Aye, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) received a delegation led by Vice Admiral Liu Zizhu, Deputy Commander of the Southern Theatre Command of the People’s Liberation Army of China, at Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
During the meeting, they discussed enhancement of friendly relations between the two countries and two armed forces, ensuring stability and peace in the border region, promotion of cooperation in security and rule of law measures, and training affairs.
The meeting was also attended by Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), senior military officers and officials. The Chinese Vice Admiral was accompanied by Chinese Military Attaché to Myanmar Senior Colonel Wang Wei and officials. —MNA/KZW
