Myanmar-China tourism delegation arrives in Yangon on familiarization trip

The delegation of the Myanmar-China Tourism Promotion Familiarization Trip (FAM Trip), invited by Myanmar hotel and tourism stakeholders, arrived in Yangon yesterday and was welcomed at Yangon International Airport by U Myo Myint Aung, Minister for Economic Affairs for the Yangon Region government, and officials.
The delegation was invited to Myanmar through cooperation between the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the Myanmar Tourism Federation, the Myanmar Hoteliers Association, the Myanmar Tourism Market Promotion Association, and the Myanmar Tourism Association. The aim is to boost the number of Chinese tourists visiting Myanmar’s destinations and raise awareness of Myanmar’s destinations in the Chinese tourism market.
The Myanmar-China Tourism Promotion Familiarization Trip (FAM Trip) includes 41 representatives from travel agencies, tourism-related departments, and media from regions such as Beijing, Kunming, Yunnan, Guilin, Chongqing, and Chengdu in China. They will visit Myanmar’s famous tourist areas, such as Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Ngwehsaung, and other tourist destinations. — MNA/TKO
