Myanmar club ISPE suffer defeat in Asian Women’s Club tourney

The first day of the 2022 Asian Women’s Club Championship (East Asian Zone) group was held on 16 August in Chon Buri, Thailand, and Myanmar club ISPE faced a loss.
Myanmar club ISPE team and Chinese Taipei club Taichung Blue team were supposed to play on the evening of 15 August, but due to heavy rain, the match was stopped at 21 minutes, and the remaining 69 minutes were played again on the morning of 16 August.
The Myanmar women’s club ISPE team competed in the first international competition and tried to get a good result, but lost by three goals to two.
The ISPE team was led by captain Khin Marlar Tun, and young star players participated.
The ISPE team was able to come back from a two-goal deficit to draw, but they conceded a third goal just two minutes after the two-goal tie.
The equalizer for the ISPE team was scored by Khin Marlar Tun in the 33rd minute, and Shwe Yupar Tun in 58 minutes, and the goals for the Taichung Blue team were scored at the 28-, 32- and 60-minute mark.
The ISPE team will play against the Thai club “College of Asian Scholars” on 18 August as the second match of the group.
In the East Asian zone, Myanmar, Thailand and Chinese Taipei clubs are competing, and the club with the most points will play the final against the team with the most points from West Asian Zone. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
