In export, the crab price declines if there are over 50 tonnes. They fetch good prices especially on the Chinese significant days, May Day, New Year Day and Chinese New Year Day. The crab is priced at 33.336 yuan per kilo depending on the size and it is between 36 and 40 yuan per kilogramme of eel, according to the dealers.
Myanmar’s crab and eel trucks to China have to wait for 30 minutes after disinfecting. If they reach China, they have to take PCR tests and wait another five hours to export. — TWA/GNLM
