Myanmar faces 1-3 loss against Viet Nam in AFF U-19 Championship

Myanmar U-19 youth national football lost 1-3 to Viet Nam youth team in the AFF U-19 Championship at Madya Senayan Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on 8 July.
Head Coach U Soe Myat Min selected his favourite players including goalkeeper Hein Htet Soe, Lann Satt Aung, Hein Zaw Naing, Arkar Kyaw, Zaw Win Thein, Chit Aue, Moe Swe, La Min Htwe, Tun Tun Thein, Okkar Naing, and Khant Zaw Hein. Contrary, Viet Nam showed their best line-up with key players.
Viet Nam broke the deadlock even at the 3-minute-mark with a header of Nguyen Quoc Viet. After that, the Myanmar team tried to get equalizers but could not put pressure on Vietnam effectively and lost 1-0 at the end of the first half.
In the second half, the Myanmar team made changes, but the Viet Nam team got the second goal scored by Kuat Van Khang at 53 minutes and the third goal by Nguyen Quoc Viet at 90 minutes.
La Min Htwe scored the only goal for the Myanmar team in extra time in the second half.
Myanmar U-19 team will play against the Indonesia team on 10 July as the last match of the group. —GNLM
