Myanmar foods were exhibited at the 2023 Nanning Qingxiu District Creative Life Festival of the World Rice Noodle held in Nanning, Qingxiu District, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China, from 17 to 19 November, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Myanmar consulate-general in Nanning joined the festival by opening a booth and serving visitors traditional Myanmar foods, including ‘Nangyithoke’ (thick rice noodle salad), coconut noodle soup, and vermicelli soup.
The wife of the Myanmar consul-general explained the objective of joining the event in interviews with Guangxi Daily News, Guangxi TV, Nanning TV, and Xinhua News.
The event was opened by Nanning Communist Party Standing Committee Member and Information Department Chair Mr Zhao Tong Fu and Nanning Qingxiu District Communist Party Secretary Mr Huang Yu. They visited the booths, including Myanmar’s and those of other ASEAN countries, displayed in the festival. — ASH/ZS
