Myanmar men’s futsal team miss bronze medal in SEA Games 31

The fourth day of the SEA Games National Futsal Group was held on 18 May and the Myanmar team lost again and missed out on the bronze medal. On the fourth day of the group, Thailand and Indonesia drew 1-1 and the host Viet Nam beat Myanmar 4-0. The Myanmar team can only hope to win the medal if they win this match.
Team Myanmar has one game left to play and has lost three matches in a row.
The Myanmar team was able to play without conceding a goal in the first half but lost in the second half due to a series of goals. Indonesia has eight points from four matches, Thailand and Viet nam have seven points from three games, while Myanmar and Malaysia have lost all three games.
The final group matches will be played on 20 May with Myanmar taking on Malaysia and hosting Viet Nam meeting Thailand. The Myanmar national futsal team competed in all five Futsal events at the SEA Games but missed out on the medal. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
