Myanmar’s government evacuated its citizens from Israel by EI AI Airline LY 081 from Tel Aviv to Bangkok of Thailand on 25 October under an evacuation project, and the citizens arrived in Yangon by MAI flight 8M 351 from Bangkok in the same evening.
The returnees were welcomed by officials of the Planning and Administrative Department, Consular and Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Disaster Management Department of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and their family members at Yangon International Airport.
Four returnees — Ma Moe Thida Aung, Ma Khin Hnin Ei, Daw Lamine Maing Ywar and U Aung Kyaw Oo — were transported by vehicles with their family members from the airport. — MNA/KTZH
