Myanmar, Russia see mutually beneficial sector-wise cooperation

The Myanmar-Russia Political Consultations co-chaired by U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and Mr Andrey Rudenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, was held yesterday afternoon, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, the two sides cordially exchanged views on the closer collaboration between Myanmar and Russia, the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation including in the spheres of defence and security, judicial and legal, transport, trade, industry and investment, banking, mass-media, education, science and technology, health, culture, tourism and people-to-people linkages, the broadening of cooperation in the regional and multilateral fora as well as the recent developments in Myanmar. This Consultations is held under the Plan of Consultations (2022-2024) which was signed between the two Foreign Ministries in 2022.
The Consultations was attended by the senior officials from the respective Ministries.
After the Consultations, the Deputy Foreign Minister hosted a dinner in honour of the Russian delegation at the Hilton Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw. — MNA
