Myanmar teams win four golds, six silvers, eight bronzes in 11th ASEAN Para Games

The Myanmar Paralympic Team, which is competing in the 11th ASEAN Para Games hosted by Indonesia, won three gold medals, four silver medals, and six bronze medals in athletics, one gold medal and one bronze medal in swimming, two silvers in weightlifting, and one bronze in archery, respectively.
The Myanmar sports team competed in the athletics competition held at the Manahan Stadium, the swimming competition held at the Jatidiri swimming pool, the weightlifting competition held at the Solo Paragon Hotel and the archery competition held at the Kota Barat Stadium.
Soe Pei won one gold medal and Kyaw Kyaw Win won the bronze medal in the men’s 200-metre race, and Thet Htoo Aung won a bronze in the men’s 800-metre race.
Zaw Min Lwin won one gold and one silver in men’s shotput and discus events.
Aung Phone Myat won one gold medal in the men’s shotput competition, and one silver medal in the men’s 400-metre relay race.
Nanda Lin won one silver medal in the women’s 100-metre race, and one bronze in the 400-metre race.
Laura Win won one silver medal in the women’s long jump, and Htet Htet Aye won the bronze medal in the women’s javelin competition.
Soe Than won bronze in the men’s high jump competition, and Aung Tun Lin won bronze in the men’s discus competition.
Nanda Soe Min won one gold medal in the men’s 100-metre backstroke. Officials presented awards to the athletes who have won medals in the competition.
Team Myanmar is participating in athletics, archery, goal ball, swimming, football, sitting volleyball and weightlifting competitions.
To date, the Myanmar sports team have won a total of 35 medals including 13 golds, nine silvers and 13 bronzes. — Bala Soe/GNLM
