Myanmar to participate in 7th China-South Asia Expo, 27th China Kunming Import & Export Fair

Myanmar will showcase its products at the 7th China-South Asia Expo and the 27th China (Kunming) Import and Export Fair, according to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization under the Ministry of Commerce.
The 27th China (Kunming) Import and Export Fair will be held at Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kunming from 16 to 20 August.
Myanmar will join the expo as the Country of Honour for the second time. The country participated in the 5th China-South Asia Expo held in June 2018 as the Country of Honour for the first time.
This year, over 10 forums will be held simultaneously. Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo will take the role of alternate chairman who serves in turn at the China-South Asia Cooperation Forum.
Moreover, a delegation led by the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economics Relations Dr Kan Zaw, accompanied by the region and state chief ministers, will attend the 2023 GMS Economic Corridors Forum (regional-level).
More than 100 Myanmar businesspersons and merchants will display local products such as agricultural products, food products, handicrafts and precious gems and jewellery and attend the related forums. — NN/EM
