Myanmar to play opener against Cambodia in U-20 women’s Asian Cup qualifiers

The first round group matches of the 2024 Asian Cup U-20 Women’s Qualifiers have come out, and the Myanmar team will start playing against the Cambodian team.
The first qualifiers will be divided into eight groups.
China, Laos, Hong Kong, and the Philippines are falling in the Group A while Nepal, UAE, Northern Mariana Island and Palestine are placed into Group B.
Meanwhile, Group C sees Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Guam and Iraq while Group D includes Lebanon, Jordan, Mongolia, and Bhutan.
Next, Thailand faces China Taipei, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the Group E, while three ASEAN teams: Viet Nam, Indonesia, and Singapore are falling in the same Group F with India.
Myanmar is placed in the Group G with Malaysia, Pakistan, and Cambodia while Iran, Bangladesh, and Turkmenistan are booked in the Group H.
The first qualifiers will be held from 8 to 12 March, and only the top eight teams from each group will be qualified for the second qualifiers.
Cambodia will host the Group (G) matches in which the Myanmar team participates.
As group matches, Myanmar will play against Cambodia on 8 March, Pakistan on 10 March, and Malaysia on 12 March respectively.
The second qualifiers will continue in 2023, and the eight teams from the first qualifiers will be divided into two groups of four teams. The Myanmar team qualified for the last tournament in 2019 and qualified for the final round.—Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
