The Tatmadaw medics, health officials, nurses and health workers of public hospitals including volunteers conduct vaccination programmes in regions and states for monks, nuns, people aged over 40, inmates, people with disabilities, ethnic armed groups, patients with chronic disease, people at IDP camps and students aged over 12.
About 1,110 people in Kyaukme and Hsipaw townships of Shan State (North) were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday while 11,409 people in seven townships of Shan State (East), 12,196 monks and people in 15 townships of Mon and Kayin states, 10,684 people in five townships of Yangon Region, 24,188 people in 26 townships of Ayeyawady Region, 7,760 people in eight townships of Rakhine State, 485 people in Kalay and Taze townships of Sagaing Region, 8,200 people in seven districts of Mandalay Region and 785 people in Toungoo Township of Bago Region.
Similarly, 2,277 students in Tamway and North Okkalapa townships of Yangon Region received their vaccines while 4,495 students in 26 townships of Ayeyawady Region, 2,292 students in Maungtaw Township of Rakhine State and Paletwa Township of Chin State and 950 students in Toungoo and Htantabin townships of Bago Region.
The respective military command commanders and officials inspected the vaccination processes and instructed necessary things. —MNA
