Nay Pyi Taw hosts School Enrolment Day ceremony (2021-2022)

D3 b NSThe Union Territory, Nay Pyi Taw, held a School Enrolment Day ceremony for the 2021-2022 academic year at B.E.H.S 9 in Zabuthiri Township yester- day.
The students of B.E.H.S 5 opened the ceremony with the song ‘Kyaung-at-hnan-yay-thi-din-pat’. Then, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe said the school enrolment day is celebrated from 24 to 31 May across the nation. The students’ parents will be satisfied with the reopening of schools on 1 June. The parents should not believe the spreading fake news like the officials will collect money for school admissions. The respective officials and teachers should give accurate information in a timely manner.
He then said that all the teachers are civil service personnel and should be free from party politics and perform their duties whatever the government is.

He also highlighted the vital role of teachers in guiding students with the lessons stated in the school textbooks and ensuring that every child will have access to education regardless of wealth or not.
Then, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Maung Maung Naing briefed all on the preparations for the reopening of 757 schools in Nay Pyi Taw on 1 June and security measures for teachers and students.
Union Minister and party handed over the books and textbooks to the respective township education officers.
The students of B.E.H.S (9) Zabuthiri Township sang “Zar-ti-man.”
The Union Minister and party then inspected the school enrolment processes and comforted the students’ parents. —MNA
