The Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee has announced that electric buses will be arranged to transport pilgrims to the Maravijaya Buddha Image.
This was stated by the Chair of Nay Pyi Taw Council and Mayor during a coordination meeting on 17 May, which focused on the use of electric vehicles for public transportation in the Nay Pyi Taw Council area.
The meeting discussed developing bus routes and bus stops for the public, particularly for those in Tatkon, Pyinmana, and Lewe townships. The government is working to implement a transportation system that primarily uses electric trains and electric buses, aiming to reduce reliance on imported fuel and to conserve the environment. — TWA/TMT
