The Myanmar Container Trucking Association has announced new rental fees for container trucks. The rates for container trucks travelling in Yangon have increased from K340,000 to K400,000 per kilometre for journeys from Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa (MITT) to Hlinethaya Industrial Zone.
Additionally, the rate for 20-foot container trucks has been raised from K100,000 to K150,000, while the rate for 40-foot container trucks has increased from K150,000 to K210,000.
These new rates will take effect from 20 May, due to rising costs of vehicle preparation, fuel, and the higher cost of living, as resolved in the meeting (1/2024) of the Myanmar Container Trucking Association. — TWA/ TRKM
