New building of maternity, newborn babies ward launched in Magway

The SAC Secretary press the electric button to inaugurate the new three-storey maternity and newborn babies ward at Magway General Hospital yesterday.

In hailing the 77th Armed Forces Day, a new three-storey maternity and newborn babies ward was ceremonially opened in Magway Region yesterday morning.
Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, the Magway Region cabinet ministers, the director-general, responsible persons, guests and the town elders attended the opening ceremony.
First, the Union minister, the Magway Region chief minister, and Director-General Dr Myat Wunna Soe cut the ribbon to open the new three-storey maternity and newborn babies ward, and the Secretary of the State Administration Council opened a signboard of the new three-storey maternity and newborn babies ward.
Next, the new three-storey maternity and newborn babies ward was inaugurated. The SAC secretary, Union minister, the chief minister and guests sprinkled the scented water over the plaque.
After that, a group photo was taken to commemorate the opening ceremony and dignitaries visited the emergency room, the operation room, the maternity care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, oxygen plant and water purifiers.
Next, the Secretary of the State Administration Council gave an opening speech and presented K2.5 million and gifts for the hospital staff.
Dr Thaung Hlaing, head of the Magway Region Medical Services Department and Dr Win Nilar Hla, Medical Superintendent, returned gifts to mark the opening of the Maternity and Newborn Babies Ward.
Then, Superintendent Dr Win Nilar Hla of the Magway General Hospital expressed words of gratitude. — MNA
