One law enforcement officer killed in attack by armed insurgents in Kayah state

One member of the security forces was killed by the terrorist attack on the police station in Bawlake Township, Kayah State, on 21 May.
About 30 armed insurgents attacked with small firearms to the Nanphe police station in Bawlake Township and retreated when the security forces retaliated. During the shooting, one member of the security forces was killed.
On the same day, a group of about 20 terrorists attacked the Dimawhso Township police station from the monastery located about 100 yards east of the police station at around 3 pm and retreated when the security forces retaliated. But, no member of the security forces was injured.
It is reported that security measures are being stepped up to identify and arrest the insurgents who carried out terrorist attacks on security police stations.—MNA
