Three armed insurgents were arrested with firearms and equipment used in terrorist attacks during the security forces were patrolling the area in Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region, yesterday.
Terrorists are reportedly mobilizing to carry out acts of sabotage against the State, handmade guns and weapons are being made on the Sakyar mountain between Khansat Kone village and Nyaungzin village Natogyi. Security forces searched the mountain.
Three men were arrested together with weapons, equipment and materials used in terrorist attacks, including one homemade pistol, two gas guns, 17 homemade mines, two bulletproof vests, hats, five backpacks, materials used in making mines, 30 black suits, six pairs of canvas shoes, four axes, 20 pears and one TYT-branded charger.
During the search, the security forces had to fight back against the terrorists who attacked with homemade firearms.
It is reported that arrested three men will be taken action according to the law. Security forces will continue to search for the perpetrators involved in the acts of sabotage.—MNA
