One passenger killed, three injured when express bus overturned in creek

One passenger out of 11 was killed and three others injured when an express bus plunged into a creek on the Yangon-Mandalay expressway yesterday.
According to reports, expressway firefighters rushed into the scene where they found the crashed and overturned express bus named Shwe La Yaung in a creek near Mile Post 45/2 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway at around 6:30 am.
The injured were taken to Bago General Hospital for medical treatment.
Firefighters from Bawnatgyi, Bawni, Phayagyi expressway fire stations performed search and rescue at the scene, officials said.—TWA/GNLM
