Over 5,900 above 12-year-old students vaccinated in Maungtaw, Rakhine state

Vaccination programme for schoolchildren aged 12 plus is underway in Maungtaw.

The Rakhine State officials launched vaccination programmes for the students aged over 12 in Maungtaw Township at the respective vaccination sites on 8 November.
The education staff collected the student lists before the vaccination while township public health department head Dr Nu Kay Thi San and party distributed the masks and checked the body temperatures, blood pressure of the students.
There are 7,297 students aged over 12 to receive vaccines at 53 sites of Maungtaw Township and 109 students were vaccinated against COVID-19 on 8 November. A total of 5,939 students received their first dose of vaccines between 17 October and 8 November. — Thet Lwin Soe (IPRD)/GNLM
