Over K1.64 billion worth of Happy Water seized in Mandalay Region

A total of 13.68 kilogrammes of Happy Water valued at K1.64 billion was seized in Mandalay Region, as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search of AD Van travelling from Mandalay-Lashio near Kyaukchaw village at 9:30 am on 12 February. Police seized 13.47 kilogrammes of Happy Water.
According to investigation, police arrested two drug traffickers — Pyae Phyo Aung (aka) Seng Lyan with a motorbike in Myitphya Ayeya bus terminal in Myitkyina township and Zarni Myo Naing (aka) Zarni with 210 grammes of Happy Water and a Lexus in Myitkyina township — at 1 pm on 14 February.
The perpetrator confessed that the seized drugs were to be transported from Shan State to Kachin State through Mandalay Region. Legal proceedings have been conducted against the offender, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend others involved in the case. — MNA/MKKS
