Pansodan-Dala ferries increase service routes for convenience of passengers

The Pansodan-Dala ferry is the only transport option for the local people in southern Yangon—Dala, Twantay, Kawhmu and Kungyangon townships to link with the commercial hub Yangon City. 

Yangon (Pansodan-Dala) ferries have increased their service routes on the weekdays starting from 21 September for the convenience of the passengers, according to the announcement of the department schedule of the Pansodan-Dala ticket booth.
The ferry service will run 30 crossings on weekdays and 20 on weekends. The ferries are running alternatively departing from Dala at 5:30 am and departing from Pansodan at 6 am. The last ferry departs at 6 pm from Dala and 7 pm from Pansodan. The ferry routes have been rescheduled for the convenience of the passengers. Currently, the passengers are travelling peacefully and regularly.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been very few or almost no traveller, the ferry are running as usual for the convenience of the passengers.
JICA donated three motor ferries called “Cherry” and they were handed over to the Dala jetty on 15 November 2014. These ferries have been offering service in an alternative way daily.
Now, we have reached seven years in 2021. The jetty is one of the busiest ports in the Yangon region, providing the best service for commuters. — Naing Lin Kyaw (IPRD)/GNLM
