Part 1 area of cleaning inside & outside of religious buildings in Bagan cultural heritage zone completed

According to the Director of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan Branch), U Kyaw Myo Win, there are eleven areas undergoing cleaning inside and outside religious buildings and lighting the statues in the Bagan cultural heritage zone, and one area has been completely cleaned.
Cleaning around the ancient buildings, removing habitual plants from inside and outside the buildings, and lighting the statues are measures taken for the cleanliness and sustainability of the ancient buildings in the compound of the Bagan cultural heritage zone. The cultural heritage zone was initially divided into six parts for this project, but starting from 2023, the project has been operating in eleven parts.
Moreover, three parts of the area are being worked on simultaneously for fast and effective operation. Currently, area A and J are being handled under the supervision of five group leaders from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan Branch) with eight groups. Area A has completed 100 per cent of the process, and area J is 80 per cent completed.
Furthermore, employees from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan Branch) are also involved in daily and weekly cleaning at the respective areas of the pagodas. Similarly, other social associations are cooperating in maintaining cleanliness around the Bagan cultural heritage zone. — ASH/ TRKM
