Part of Bhumi Phassa Mudra sitting marble Buddha image conveyed for fifth time

A ceremony to convey the part of Bhumi Phassa Mudra sitting marble Buddha image for the fifth time took place at the Maha Mingala pavilion in Buddha park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The ceremony was graced by members of the Sangha led by Chairman of Lewe Township Sangha Nayaka Committee MyoU Dhammayon Sayadaw Bhaddanta Aggacara, Quartermaster-General Lt-Gen Kyaw Swa Lin, Lt-Gen Kan Myint Than of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Myo Tin and guests.
Members of the Sangha recited Gathas to disperse Metta. Senior military officers and disciples led by the Township Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw sprinkled scented water on the part-4 rock of the Buddha image and recited Jaya Mangala victorious verses. Then, the marble rock to be carved into the sitting Buddha image was conveyed to the venue where it will be paid homage. Part-2 reserve rock for the Buddha image weighing 563 tonnes and part-4 rock weighing 800 tonnes were conveyed by the modular trailer from Simikhon port on 20 March. They arrived at the Mingala venue of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 25 March. — MNA
